- Consider the Source (NYC)
www.CONSIDERTHESOURCEMUSIC.com

NYC trio Consider the Source defy easy description. If intergalactic beings of pure energy, after initiation into an order of whirling dervishes, built some kind of pan-dimensional booty-shaking engine, powered by psychedelics and abstract math, it'd probably just sound like a CTS tribute band. Drawing from progressive rock, fusion and jazz, with alien sounds soaked in Indian and Middle Eastern styles, CTS blends disparate parts into a striking, utterly original whole. Dubbed “Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Fusion”, the band's music strikes a rare balance between cerebral and emotional, intellectual and primal. A relentless touring schedule has won the band a fervent following from California to Israel, with fans ranging from jam-band hippies and jazz cats to corpse-painted headbangers and prog geeks.

- Pillow Pocket (Dallas, TX)

Pillow Pocket packs the funk punch that you crave. Dallas's newest electro-funk band on the scene, providing high energy grooves that are cooler than the other side of the pillow. They're not just another "jam band" but a band that can jam! The party is just getting started...

BIG Something (Burlington, NC)
https://bigsomething.net/home

A 6 piece powerhouse with a sound that is both unique and timeless, Big Something fuses elements of rock, pop, funk, and improvisation to take listeners on a journey through a myriad of musical styles. It's no secret why this group has quickly become one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from the Southeast. Soaring guitars, EWI (electronic wind instrument), synths, horns and alluring vocal hooks rise to the top of their infectious collection of songs and represent a sound that has caught the ears of such revered stalwarts as Umphrey's McGee, Moon Taxi, Galactic, moe., Robert Randolph, and even The B52s, who have all tapped Big Something as direct support.
Recently, the band released their 5th studio album The Otherside on April 20th, 2018 as a follow up to their 2017 album Tumbleweed. The Otherside was recorded at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC with the help of Grammy-nominated producer and Carolina Music Awards Lifetime Achievement recipient - John Custer (Corrosion of Conformity) who has produced all 5 of the bands albums.
On The Otherside, Big Something continues to build upon the post-apocalyptic peyote trip imagery from Tumbleweed, concluding the story of a nomad who has made it to the other side of his journey wandering through the night towards a desert sunrise. The album also showcases a different musical side of the band with a heavier, more focused and soulful collection of 8 songs including "Smoke Signal," and "Wildfire."
Big Something is Nick MacDaniels (vocals, guitar), Casey Cranford (sax, EWI), Jesse Hensley (lead guitar), Ben Vinograd (drums), Doug Marshall (bass), Josh Kagel (keys, trumpet), and Rhett Huffman (keys).

EVANOFF

Denver based and Boulder born, dream rock trio Evanoff is no doubt a force to be reckoned with in the Colorado music scene. The group has pioneered a unique, electrifying blend of analog and digital sounds they call “Dream Rock.” Dancey break beats, symphonic guitar riffs, powerful builds, and face melting jams define the increasingly popular genre.

Containing both heavy rock and soft melodic styles, the groups most stand out feature is their ability to capture the crowd’s attention while creating heartfelt tension accompanied by groovy dance beats that release unimaginable amounts of energy. There is an energetic joy and purification that comes from seeing an Evanoff show.....

Evanoff consists of its three core members: JJ Evanoff (Guitar), Jake Hall (Drums) and Brennan Forrester (Keys). In just under two years the band has performed at an array of major national festivals including Electric Forest, Euphoria and Gem & Jam, Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road, Vertex, Sonic Bloom, and Arise. The trio has been hitting the road hard over the past two years creating major markets in the southwest, midwest and northeastern US. Their best markets reside in both Boulder and Denver where the band headlines/supports prestigious venues such as The Fox Theatre, Boulder Theater, The Bluebird, Cervantes, and The Ogden.

:::MUSIC:::

Headlining the evening will be Henry the Archer:

Alt-rock + post-punk + electric-folk + indie-dance-funk = Henry the Archer. With a moody sound hinting at post-punk rock offset with fresh groove-pop melodies, the music is a familiarity of sound, laden with system shocks in the form of sharp, pointed lyrical style. It’s music that hasn’t gone unnoticed: Fort Worth Weekly 2017 Top 10 Local Albums and Song of the Year, Dallas Observer 20 Best Local Albums and 2017 Best Male Vocalist and KXT 2017 Listener Favorite.

MOJO - Modular Johnson:

An introspective look at funk and electronic music; MOJO offers funky riffs, spacey soundscapes, inviting vocals, and heavy grooves.

“MOJO an upcoming funk/electronic band are exactly what you need after a long week. Not only do they bring the grooves needed to wash away the stress of the week, the visuals provided are simply astounding. MOJO is like watching your own personal Pink Floyd, meets Rage Against the Machine, meets STS9, yes I went there. Do not miss these guys...” - DentonRadio.com

Afrolicious has established itself as one of the top live/electronic bands on the scene. Launched as a weekly dance party featuring DJs and brothers Pleasuremaker and Señor Oz alongside percussionists, MCs, and horn players, over the years the band has evolved as founding DJ/producer Pleasuremaker (Joe McGuire) alongside his brother Señor Oz (Oz McGuire) hooked up with some of the most exciting personalities in the Bay Area music scene and started writing original music under the alias Afrolicious.

By 2010 the live band version of the music had also adopted that moniker. The 8-to-12 member ensemble mixes its live sound with club-heavy beats and textures. The new CD features some of its best-known original songs remixed by Jamaican dub producer Scientist and Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation, among others.
